We have been actively promoting Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) programme by enabling effective use of information technology and equipment to facilitate self-directed learning. Apart from using e-textbook on parts of chosen subjects, BYOB can also stimulate students’ motivation to learn and enhance classroom interaction between teachers and students, peer assessment as well as the effectiveness of learning. Besides, students can make use of electronic devices easily for self-directed learning, such as collecting data and information, sharing works, conducting after-class extended activities so as to broaden their learning experiences outside the classrooms.

Meanwhile, the e-learning platform records students’ learning portfolio and achievements. Students can conveniently check their learning materials and review their learning progress so as to develop their self-monitoring ability. Through collection of learning data, teachers can understand students’ overall learning performance more easily and provide them with appropriate adjustment or feedback in time.
